Horizons 2 TV satellite will provide KU band free to air TV dth service. Intelsat moved Horizons 2 ku band TV satellite into its new new orbital position of 85 degrees East to provide free to air DTH platform in Thailand.

Intelsat announced on 19 November that they repositioned the Horizons 2 satellite to a new orbital position of 85 degrees East to provide a new  free to air TV (DTH) platform, Direct to Home TV in Thailand soon.

The satellite will be a next step, an operator of new content provider platform with the launch of its new platform Freeview TV, which is positioned to help serve a potential market of television industry for about 67 million people.

Next step is a multi-year agreement, the Ku-band capacity of Horizon 2 TV satellite.  Intelsat expects the DTH market in Thailand is expected to more than 2.5 million, new subscribers will continue to grow in the next 10 years of its use.

The Intelsat satellite company launched Horizons 2 in 2007 in partnership with Sky Perfect JSAT for coverage in the US and moved to a location to beam TV service to Russia in 2012 but now Horizon 2 is shifted to 85E to provide free to air ku band TV channels and to start a free to air (Freeview dth tv) dth service in Thailand.
