Reliance Jio Will Soon Launch LYF-branded 4K UHD smart TVs in India with video-on-demand service, broadway plays and to compete with Netflix. According to reports, Reliance is mulling to soon introduce its 4K UHD Smart TVs in India, which will be based on Android 4.4 and also start the 4G-based video-on-demand services, broadway plays, films rental, movie links and online content streaming.
The retail arm of Reliance Industries, Reliance Digital is preparing for future performance and business operations Reliance Jio to launch HD Smart TV with HD systems. The company plans to introduce two 4K UHD SmartTVs in screen sizes of 50 inches and 65 inches. It is expected that the 50-inch model priced at Rs 55,900 and 65 inches at a premium price of Rs 1.55 lakh price. "Smart TVs are more likely to be introduced under the brand LYF. However, the final decision has not been taken," said a person familiar with the development ET. The person added, and said the company is "combining unique products, services and applications to the Jio platform." These SmartTVs will be based on Android 4.4 OS and pack with 2GB of RAM, HDMI, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports and WiFi connectivity. Users also have the ability to use plug-in a mouse and a keyboard as a makeshift PC. The news comes shortly before the introduction of branded services of Reliance Jio 4G services based on LTE technology in India. The company is at full speed to offer online content, streaming services, HD systems, movie links, programs for HDTV, HD video services and streaming music on demand, bmg musicservice at very low prices. Moreover, considering Reliance Jio also a complete ecosystem feldged build applications that integrate with its online service called World Jio. Some of the applications are Jio Beats originally planned Jio News, Jio demand, Jio drive andJio play. The Agency has already offered 4G services for employees and their families in December last year. The service should be released this year in April-May.
