A+E Networks UK Extended its Distribution of BLAZE TV on FreeSat in FTA

Freesat in the UK. A+E Networks UK has extended its distribution of BLAZE free to air TV channel (FTA) following an agreement with the free satellite platform Freesat TV without any subscription.

Entertainment channel formed to the second launch of the FTA channel  by A+E Networks International in 2016 and is designed to meet  a number of the ranchise known and successful companies under a new brand that celebrates "exceptional character, determined and courageous".

It provides viewers of Freesat TV episodes of series such as Pawn Stars, American Restoration, Mountain Men, and Crime Series like the first 48 and unusual suspects. The service has been announced throughout the Freeview DTT service in the UK in August 2016 as well on pay TV and Sky TV.

With the release of BLAZE in Freesat, the channel is now available to approximately 21 million viewers in the British on FTA platforms. It is also available to more than 12.4 million subscribers of Sky TV.

Speaking on the launch, Heather Jones, Managing Director UK, A+E Networks, said. "We are very happy to bring BLAZE to 1.9 million homes through Freesat and embracing the way the audience embrace the variety of shows in BLAZE, with plenty of our exclusive content in free-to-air TV mode".

Freesat managing director Alistair Thom: "We are pleased to add our viewers to BLAZE channel. Freesat already enjoy over 200 channels of TV and radio in a variety of entertainment. BLAZE will enhance our entertainment offer for viewers who want to enjoy a light without a Pay TV service or a monthly subscription fee for TV channels".
