DISH today launched DISH Music, a mobile application with DTS Play-Fi technology that gives customers the ability to synchronise music through their home using central control. This feature works with TV audio systems connected to Hopper 2 or Hopper 3 DVRs as well as DTS Play-Fi loudspeakers to play music from personal libraries on mobile devices and popular streaming services such as Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora And TIDAL.

"It can be difficult and expensive to get high-quality, synchronised audio throughout the house," said Niraj Desai, DISH's vice president for product management. "DISH Music is a great home-made sound solution designed to meet the needs of our customers as it works with existing audio equipment and is available at no additional cost."

DISH Music converts DISH and Joeys Hopper DVRs connected into streaming music zones controllable from Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. When using the application, customers can choose to synchronise the same music between rooms or play different content in each zone. TVs show the metadata of the music being played, such as artists, the name of the song, and the music service.

In addition, DISH music can pair wirelessly with DTS Play-Fi enabled speakers connected to the same wireless network. DTS Play-Fi has the largest wireless partner ecosystem in the house, including Aerix, Anthem, Arcam, Ultimate Technology, Klipsch, MartinLogan, McIntosh, Paradigma, Phorus, Polk Audio, Rotel, Sonus Faber, Thiel Audio and Wren De Elite, Integra, Pioneer, Onkyo, Soundcast, SVS Sound and more.
