Google to bring YouTube to TV screens in India by DTH providers


Google wants to make its YouTube video sharing service to television screens in India. The technology giant is already in talks with several DTH ( Direct to Home TV) in the country in order to realize its importance, according to a report in The Economic Times. The report cites Global Director of Google (partnerships platform) Francisco Varela, but did not specify how this integration takes place, or when the service is available to the Indian DTH users or on Dth services india.

India is an important market for YouTube, and the next step will continue to increase its activities in the country. In an interview with the Hindustan Times recently said Google India MD Rajan Anandan nearly 5.5 percent (55 million euros) of its total 1000 million monthly unique visitors from India, and has a collection of 10,000 Indian full length movies. In total there are about 6 million hours of video watched on YouTube every month and about 100 hours of video are uploaded every minute part.

Important DTH providers in the country are Dish TV, Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Reliance Digital TV, Sun Direct. Last month, YouTube announced on his blog that allow users to watch online videos on their mobile applications in November this year. What this means is that users can download a video clip from YouTube application when you look online and offline show later. A few months ago, the company has a function, the creators and producers of video content allows with a minimum of 100 subscribers to his YouTube channel to live developed the chain on the video sharing website.

YouTube was created by three former PayPal employees launched in May 2005 and saw a huge traction immediately after the start.
