MultiChoice expands DTTV service in sub-Saharan Africa by Intelsat904

MultiChoice expands the distribution of DTTV in sub-Saharan Africa through Intelsat 904


Intelsat SA announced that the dth TV African origin Multichoice operator used Intelsat's ability for reach of its digital terrestrial television ( DTTV), which provides in sub-Saharan Africa to expand." Intelsat has a long history of support for satellite and DVB-T(DTTV) deployments worldwide."

Under the agreement, MultiChoice, a pioneer in the market for sub-Saharan Africa, extended C-band capacity on Intelsat 904-60° East to stream content to their terrestrial towers for DVB-T (DTTV) services. Through Intelsat 904, Multichoice planned to further expand its product range DTTV GOTV in Sub-Saharan Africa, where it already exists, including Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Namibia and Malawi and target new countries.
