Dish TV DTH Launched MiniPlex Shemaroo Movies premiere Services

Shemaroo Movies premiere Services MiniPlex now available on DishTV. DishTV DTH operator joined with Shemaroo to start Miniplex, a service through which the user can watch Shemaroo's Movie premiere each Friday. The subscription cost for this service is Rs 60 per month and will also telecast other top films, all without advertising.

In November last year, Shemaroo had partnered with Airtel Digital TV to start Miniplex. As in the current partnership, it telecast a movie premiere every Friday and shows the latest movies released. Shemaroo is also planning to launch Miniplex in future via cable and online platforms.

Earlier this month, Shemaroo tied with Spuul to share catalogs with their respective users. Spuul would offer movies like Mujhse Shaadi  Karogi, The Dirty Picture, Sarfarosh, Black, Kaalia, Namak Halal, Shiva, Majboor, Amar Akbar Anthony, Don, Anamik and many more romantic comedy films from Shemaroo.

Hungama Association: Please note that last August DishTV tied with Hungama to launch a music service called Music active. Service offers music in all genres like Bollywood, devotion, western, pop, etc, as well as hits and international songs, Ghazal, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Tamil and Carnatic music.

DishFlix VOD platform: In August last year Dish TV launched a new video-on-demand service (VOD) DishFlix which enables the users to watch movies without ads. The service does not require any Internet connection and the users are able to watch the movies directly via satellite decoder pf DishTV set top box. To avail DishFlix service customers need a  separate DishFlix devices  of Rs 5,990 and this service costs a monthly subscription of Rs100.

14 million subscribers in February of this year, DishTV total customer base of 14 million users. The company added 0.317 million net subscribers in the quarter, 31 December 2015 (Q3 FY16). The number of DTH subscribers additions were declined in the last three-quarters in  dish TV. The company added 0.338 million customers in the previous quarter and in the first quarter was 0.39 Arrivals subscribers.

Finance: Dish TV reported an operating profit of Rs 771.5 million rupees for the quarter ended 31 December 2015, 690 million by 11.8% higher than Rs rupees in the same period last year, and 2.5% from Rs 752.4 crore in previous quarter. Net income was 68.5 billion rupees to Rs for the quarter to 21.3% from 87 Rs crore in the previous quarter and from a loss of 26 Rs crore in the same period last year.
