Jio DTH Will be Free For Six Months and Will Launch in April 2017

Reliance Jio is Looking now for December to launch Jio DTH in India. Reliance Jio plans to launch a direct to home service (DTH) in India on April 2017, according to a local report.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani company Jio - previously launched a 4G mobile service in September and now plans to launch its DTH service Jio DTH free of charge for the first six months, according to reports. Thereafter, the service is reportedly priced at Rs185 per month.

The DTH service will come with internet service of speed up to 1 GB and will provide customers the best TV package with high-speed internet access and other services of Jio, such as games, music etc according to Indian Express. Consumers could access the service via a set-top box and an Android smart box or Apple TV, the report added.

Jio Dth TV will probably provide more than 360 TV channels, including at least 50 in HD, and other JIO services. Jio DTH TV will contain different packages, which will include sports combo TV package or combo south TV pack in India, according to reports.

Jio has shaken the mobile industry in India since the introduction of the 4G LTE service in September with a free range of voice, zero roaming charges and low data rates rocked mobile video delivery.
