Facebook Watch app Video Streaming Service Launched Worldwide

The streaming video service of Watch Facebook and facebook watch application is launched around the world. Facebook's video Streaming service is being deployed all over the world, just over a year after its launch in the United States.

Users can choose from a variety of shows, both established brands and new players, and can see the videos saved from their News Feeds.

The firm plans to allow all content creators to submit advertising breaks, as long as they reach certain metrics.

Until now, only the selected editors had had the opportunity.

To start, only the videos that are shown to audiences in the United Kingdom, USA. The United States, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand will have this function.

The revenue division will be 55% for creators and 45% for Facebook.

Facebook had intended to release the release on Wednesday but advanced the announcement after details were leaked. As a result, some users may still not be able to access your pages.

Watch Facebook is often portrayed as a Google YouTube rival but also competes for attention against traditional television channels, as well as in media such as Netflix, Amazon Video, BBC iPlayer and Facebook's own Instagram TV.

A study published last week suggests that it only had a special appeal in its first year in the United States.

Of 1,632 adult Facebook users questioned, 50% had never heard of Watch Facebook, while 24% said they knew the service on demand, but had never used it, according to the Diffusion Group.

Only 14% told the market research firm that they used it at least once a week.

Another report noted that although some Watch programs had attracted millions of people, they often struggled to retain them.

"This seems to be a pattern in most Facebook Watch programs: many people show, lesser return," wrote Verne Gay for Newsday.

Even so, some renowned stars have participated in the original programming made for the platform.

Facebook claims that its advantage over other platforms is the way in which Watch helps viewers interact with others.

"It's based on the idea that watching videos does not have to be a passive experience," said Fidji Simo, vice president of video at Facebook.

"You can have a two-way conversation about the content with friends, other fans or even the creators themselves."

He added that a Watch Party feature allows users to coordinate to watch a show together, while an Interactivity Platform allows creators to conduct surveys, challenges and questionnaires to boost engagement.

Facebook says that the most common opinion it had of creators during the past year was a call to allow more of them to include advertising breaks.

To qualify, publishers must have created videos that last more than three minutes.  They have attracted more than 30,000 viewers who stayed for more than a minute to see the content in the last two months have more than 10,000 followers be located in one of the countries where the advertising service is available.

An industry observer predicted that the terms would appeal to established independent video creators, some of whom have been concerned about the way Google's YouTube has run its own advertising program.

"For a long time, YouTube had a monopoly on online video when it came to offering creators a way to make money from ads," said Alex Brinnand, editor of TenEighty magazine.

"And for some time, many creators have been looking for other possible sources of income: some have started using Twitch [from Amazon], for example.

"Then, this will be welcome as it provides more options."

Facebook said the second wave of countries - including France, Germany, Norway, Mexico and Thailand - would receive advertising breaks in September.
